Designer reviews: Matthew Williamson

I've never heard of Matthew Williamson before the opening of Debenhams (british departement store - www.debenhams.com) in the new wing of Bucuresti Mall.

But at my first visit to the new shop, there it was, love at first sight.

Debenhams features limited collection by (mostly british) designers: Jasper Conran, John Rocha, Julien Macdonald and, yes, my new love, Matthew Williamson.

Since 1997 (launching of it's first collection, Electric Angels, in London), Williamson's collections have continued to strengthen and cement his reputation as one of the UK's premier designer talents. Among his clients there are lots of A-class celebrities, such as: Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Britney Spears, Kate Hudson and Helena Christensen.

The collection for Debenhams is called "Butterfly", and it's composed by clothes and accesories (bags, swimming clothes). It's made in Williamson signature style: fun, light, bright colours with sparkling details (lots of gold and pink - maybe that's why i felt in love so quickly :) ). His ultimate glamour creations can now be accesible to everyone.

You can see Butterfly by Matthew Williamson collection, and even shop it online on debenhams.com.

As for it's main collection, i totaly love every piece of it. Unfortunately, it is a little pricey for me right now to buy it all, but i still can dream, right?
